Senior Science Award 2020
International Aspirin Foundation scientific advisory board member Professor Lina Badimon pays tribute to our Senior Science Award 2020 recipients and reflects on her own career and ongoing interest in the use of low-dose aspirin as precision medicine. In conversation with health journalist Pennie Taylor, the Barcelona-based cardiovascular specialist discusses her work with UNESCO/UNITWIN where she has the Chair on Biomedical Sciences Training and Research, and the Balkan countries’ registry that is investigating aspirin for primary prevention. Powerfully, Professor Badimon also shares her views on the fast-changing role of women in science, an area for which she holds responsibility on the board of the European Society of Cardiology.
