The International Aspirin Foundation (IAF) will present its first ever symposium in China, at the 2021 Oriental Congress of Cardiology (OCC).
The OCC conference, themed ‘Open, creative, co-operative’ will be held at the Shanghai International Convention Centre from 27 to 30 May 2021, and the IAF symposium will take place from 1pm to 5pm on Friday 28 May (7am- 1pm CET; 1am – 5am EST).
Professor Junbo Ge, President of OCC will be joined by Professor Carlo Patrono, Chair of the IAF Scientific Advisory Board, to chair the IAF symposium following a welcome from Professor Xue-Bo Liu.
Registration for OCC 2021 is complimentary for overseas delegates to attend online and the IAF symposium will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the established facts and open questions concerning the use of low-dose aspirin for the primary and secondary prevention of atherothrombosis, as reviewed by leading experts from China, Europe and USA, with a view to identify similarities and discrepancies among the different approaches to prevention.
Speakers from the IAF Scientific Advisory Board include Professor Carlo Patrono, Professor Peter Rothwell, Professor Andrew Chan and Professor Mike Gaziano.
